David Mikhail founded Mikhail Riches in 2015. The practice grew from David Mikhail Architects, which delivered one-off homes, both refurbishment and new build, receiving numerous RIBA Awards. His own development, Church Walk in Hackney was the RIBA London Building of the year in 2013. With Mikhail Riches, he is now realizing his broader ambition of delivering beautiful places that make a difference; helping to encourage social connectedness with buildings that are genuinely sustainable. He is helping teams navigate many of our current projects to operational net zero. David is particularly interested in biodiversity and woodlands and is building his own Passivhaus family home using sweet chestnut coppiced from a local woodland in Kent.
